The farm is tucked away just off the Trans Canada Highway, or Highway One. This was the original highway, connecting the interior and northern areas of BC to the coast. However, after construction of the Coquihalla, the Trans Canada has seen less car traffic but is still fairly well maintained. It is also one of the most beautiful and scenic highways in the world in my opinion.

To get here from the lower mainland, you just turn northward toward Cache Creek at Hope and follow the road as it winds through awe-inspiring canyon, historic train tunnels, Hell’s Gate and through the villages of Yale and Boston Bar.

Shortly after Boston Bar you’ll see a sign for the Canyon Alpine Campground on your right-hand side. You can head off the highway and follow the service road at the next right (following the sign). Continue down the service road, passing the restaurant and motel until you come to a big field with a fence. You have now arrived at Grit Farm Fitness.

If you’re coming from the other direction, southbound on the Trans Canada, keep an eye out for Fat Jacks on the right-hand side. Slow down and take the next turn to your left onto Pfenninger Road.
